The sims Castaway can be very complicated when installing . For some reason if you have problems like an error message that says “Cannot copy TSData\Res\3D\Objects09.package”. It could be the follow reasons:

1.) Your Cd drive is damage

2.) Your Cd is damage/scratched

3.) Some antivirus software is blocking the file being copied to your drive . Try to disable temporarily your firewall and antivirus software: Norton, Kaspersky, AVG, Avast…etc..

4.) Unknown reason. If this is the case. ( You already checked your drive , Cd and disable running programs in the background like antivirus softwares and firewall softwares ) Then you need to follow the steps below.

a.) Go to your Cd/DVD drive letter . Right click and click open

b.) Locate the file “0compressed” . It should let you extract the file when you right click it. Right click that file then choose “Extract”. Browse to drive C or to your desktop and create a folder so you extract your file there.

c.) Also locate the file “1compressed” and extract it to the folder where you extracted your “ocompressed” files.

d.)When your done extracting all the files ,then try installing your sims castaway normally. When an error message says error copying or similar error message , go to program files\Electronic Arts\Sims Castaway then copy paste your “TSDATA” from your extracted file from “0compressed” and “1compressed”and paste it there. Then hit “Retry” button on the error message window.
